I was born in Hawaii, and moved to LA in 1997. I currently live in Hollywood.
It really depends on the scope of the project and the timeline. I'm always interested in attractive commercial projects and unique opportunities to show my art.
I'm inspired by heavy metal, kawai (Japanese cute culture), kaiju (Japanese monsters), the naked female body, Hollywood and ice cream. To me, they are all the same: timeless, bold, unforgiving and awesome. I can't get enough.
At the end of the day, it doesn't hold the same sweet spot in heart that it used to. And I'm certainly not a graffiti artist, so please don't call me one. I've moved on. And as far as posters are concerned, I still like 'em. I go out when I'm inspired to do so.
Since 2002, I have silkscreened all my posters by hand. I really like silkscreening, and I can't imagine what I'd do without it.
